Toussaint Louverture

Born:
May 20 1743

Deceased:
April 7, 1803

Here in 2016 many are eager for the release of Nate Parker's 'Birth Of A Nation,' a film based on the Nat Turner's Southhampton Rebellion. Some may argue that Turner's 1831 uprisings had minimal affects that benefited those engaged in the first place, due to the fact that he and his followers were not completely victorious in the end (ultimately ending in 50-60 executions).
One the worlds most revolutionary leaders/military minds, that led his fellow Haitians to stand against the entire country of France, was Toussaint Louverture.
Louverture was a leader that helped guide Haiti toward her destiny which was liberation from France. Peep the videos /articles drop a comment if you find something new in your research to share.
