John Africa is the founder of the Philadelphia black liberation group, MOVE, who advocated a 'back-to-nature' lifestyle and against/limiting the reach of technology/government. Some might would classify his teachings as radical and uncivilized and may even argue the holistic approach to living as barbaric. I feel it is important to learn from the experiences of this potential community building model and use to apply for modern time.
