For the month of Feburary, I wanted to upload informative videos or passages that had something to do with "Black" History Month. Today I stumbled on a video that was excatly what I had in mind for Feb. posts. There have been many terms that we as "black" people use to communicate with one another and other races. Throughout the decades the acceptable terms have been loosely used from Negro, Afro-American, African-American and even black. None of these words actually describes us or who we are as a people. Black is not a nationality but more so a color, we can't be African-American because that is the name of two countries, and there is no way you can be from two countries at once(unless you were porn on the borderlines. The word most commonly heard today (depending on your social circle) is Nigga. Some people use the word "nigga" as an adjective, verb and even noun (I personally use in all these ways and even as a punctuation mark). Most believe that the word stems from the negative connotation refereed to the melanated races as "Nigger" but the word has much more meaning to that.
